Cause of Accident Still Under Investigation
Emergency services were called to the scene of a serious road traffic accident on Tuesday morning, where a cyclist was left with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a car.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 12345678.
Increase in Cycling Accidents
The accident comes amid growing concerns about the number of cycling accidents on the UK's roads.
According to figures from the Department for Transport, there were 19,092 reported cycling accidents in the UK in 2020, of which 103 were fatal.
Cycling campaigners are calling for more to be done to improve safety for cyclists, including better infrastructure and tougher penalties for drivers who are involved in accidents with cyclists.
