De Bruyne Stars as Belgium Cruise Past Czech Republic

Belgium started their UEFA Nations League campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over the Czech Republic on Thursday.

Kevin De Bruyne was the standout performer for the Belgians, scoring twice and setting up the other for Romelu Lukaku. The Manchester City midfielder opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a stunning strike from outside the box.

He doubled Belgium's lead just before half-time with a well-taken penalty after Lukaku had been fouled in the area. Lukaku made it 3-0 in the 57th minute with a tap-in from close range after De Bruyne's shot had been parried by the Czech goalkeeper.

Belgium were in control of the game from start to finish and could have won by an even bigger margin.

They had several chances to add to their lead in the second half, but they were denied by some good saves from the Czech goalkeeper. The Czech Republic offered very little in attack and failed to register a single shot on target.

The victory was a good start to Belgium's Nations League campaign and will give them confidence ahead of their next match against Poland on Sunday. The Czech Republic, on the other hand, will need to improve significantly if they want to avoid relegation from Group A2.
