Edinburgh Cowgate Bus Incident: Man Identified

Police Release Name of Victim

Police in Edinburgh have released the name of the man who died on Tuesday in a collision with a bus on Cowgate. He was 28-year-old David Smith from the city.

The incident occurred at around 9.45 pm on Tuesday, November 15, at the junction of Cowgate and Candlemaker Row. Mr. Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Cowgate was closed for several hours after the incident while emergency services worked at the scene. The road has since reopened, but there are still some delays in the area.
