Ex-Youngster plotting Manchester United's downfall
Record-breaking youngster returns to haunt former club
Tahith Chong aiming to end Manchester United's title quest
Tahith Chong, a record-breaking youngster at Manchester United, is now plotting their downfall as he lines up for rivals Manchester City in the derby this weekend.
The 23-year-old winger, who made his United debut at the age of 16, has been in impressive form for City this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in all competitions.
Chong left United in 2022 after failing to establish himself in the first team. He joined Birmingham City on loan before making a permanent move to City in the summer.
Now, he is relishing the opportunity to face his former club and help City end their title hopes.
"It's going to be a special game for me," Chong said. "I spent many years at United and I have a lot of respect for the club. But I'm a City player now and I'm determined to help us win the game."
Chong is not the only former United player in the City squad. Winger Jadon Sancho also left Old Trafford in 2021, and he has been in excellent form for City this season.
The two players will be key figures in City's attack on Sunday, and they will be looking to cause problems for the United defence.
United have been in impressive form this season, and they are currently top of the Premier League table. However, they will face a tough test against a City side that is also in good form.
The derby is always a closely-fought affair, and this weekend's match is sure to be no different. Chong will be looking to play a key role for City, and he will be determined to help them end United's title hopes.
