Honduras Dominates Trinidad and Tobago in CONCACAF Nations League Opener
Honduras began its CONCACAF Nations League campaign with a dominant 4-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday in San Pedro Sula.
The Catrachos took control of the match early on and never looked back. Romell Quioto opened the scoring in the 17th minute, heading home a cross from Edwin Rodriguez.
Honduras doubled its lead in the 28th minute when Alberth Elis converted a penalty kick. The penalty was awarded after Trinidad and Tobago goalkeeper Marvin Phillip fouled Quioto in the box.
Honduras Continues to Impress in Second Half
Honduras continued to impress in the second half, adding two more goals to its tally. Kervin Arriaga made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute with a header from a corner kick.
Bryan Moya completed the scoring in the 86th minute, tapping in a rebound after Quioto's shot was saved by Phillip.

With the win, Honduras moved to the top of Group C in the CONCACAF Nations League. The Catrachos will next face Curacao on Sunday in Willemstad.
