Hucknall Road in Nottingham has been closed in both directions following a serious crash involving a car and a bus.

The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Thursday, July 27, and police are asking people to avoid the area.

The road is closed between Bulwell High Road and Hartley Road, and there are long delays in the area.

Traffic heading towards Bulwell is being diverted onto Hartley Road, while traffic heading towards Nottingham city center is being diverted onto Bulwell High Road.

Public transport services are also affected by the road closure.

Police are on the scene and are investigating the incident. No information has been released yet on any injuries.
