Teenager who lost his leg to cancer to join Children in Need cycle challenge with Paddy McGuinness
A teenager from Glasgow who lost his leg to cancer is set to join Paddy McGuinness on an epic Children in Need cycle challenge.
Bailey Matthews, 13, was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer called osteosarcoma in 2019. He underwent surgery to remove his right leg and has since been fitted with a prosthetic limb.
Despite his challenges, Bailey is an active and determined young man. He is a keen cyclist and has set himself the goal of cycling 100 miles in one day to raise money for Children in Need.
Bailey's story has inspired many people, including Paddy McGuinness. The TV presenter and comedian has agreed to join Bailey on his cycle challenge.
The pair will set off from Glasgow on November 13th and will cycle to Blackpool over three days.
Bailey's mum, Donna, said: "We are so proud of Bailey. He is an inspiration to us all.
"He has never let his cancer define him and he is always looking for new challenges.
"We are so grateful to Paddy McGuinness for supporting Bailey's challenge. It is going to be an amazing experience for him."
