Liam Livingstone says conditions not ‘favourable’ after West Indies loss
England see their 17-match white-ball winning run come to an end
England's Liam Livingstone was left frustrated after his side's seven-wicket defeat to the West Indies in Grenada.
The defeat ended England's 17-match winning run in white-ball cricket and Livingstone admitted that the conditions had not been in their favour.
"The conditions were not favourable for our bowlers," he said.
"The wicket was slow and low, and the ball was not coming on to the bat as well as we would have liked."
Livingstone also praised the West Indies bowlers, who he said had bowled with "great discipline".
"They bowled very well and made it difficult for us to score runs," he said.
"They hit their lengths and bowled to their plans, and we were not able to put them under enough pressure."
Despite the defeat, Livingstone said that England would learn from the experience and come back stronger.
"We will have to learn from this and come back stronger in the next game," he said.
"We have a lot of quality in this team, and I am confident that we can bounce back from this."
