Packers Roster 2023: Preseason Depth Chart Analysis
Quarterback
Aaron Rodgers is entrenched as the starter. Jordan Love is the backup, and he'll be looking to show progress in his third season. Rookie Nathan Stanley is the third-string quarterback.
Running Back
Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon will once again form a dynamic duo in the backfield. Kylin Hill is expected to be the third-down back, and rookie Tyler Goodson will also see some playing time.
Wide Receiver
Davante Adams is gone, and the Packers will need to fill his void. Allen Lazard is the clear-cut No. 1 receiver, and Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs will be expected to step up in big ways. Sammy Watkins and Randall Cobb will also be in the mix.
Tight End
Robert Tonyan is the starting tight end, and he'll be looking to bounce back from an injury-plagued 2022 season. Josiah Deguara is a solid backup, and rookie Samori Toure could also see some playing time.
Offensive Line
The Packers have a lot of experience on the offensive line, with David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins, and Josh Myers all returning from injuries. Rookie Zach Tom is expected to start at right guard, and Royce Newman is the likely starter at right tackle.
Defensive Line
Kenny Clark is the anchor of the defensive line, and he'll be looking to have a big season in 2023. Jarran Reed and Dean Lowry are the starting defensive ends, and T.J. Slaton is expected to see some playing time at nose tackle.
Linebacker
De'Vondre Campbell is the starting middle linebacker, and he'll be joined by Rashan Gary and Preston Smith at outside linebacker.
Cornerback
Jaire Alexander is the Packers' top cornerback, and he'll be looking to bounce back from a down season in 2022. Rasul Douglas and Eric Stokes are the other starting cornerbacks.
Safety
Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage are the starting safeties, and they'll be looking to form one of the best safety duos in the NFL.
Special Teams
Mason Crosby is the Packers' kicker, and he'll be looking to have a big season in 2023. Pat O'Donnell is the punter, and he'll be looking to improve on his solid 2022 season.
Overall
The Packers have a lot of talent on their roster, but they'll need to stay healthy in order to be successful in 2023. If they can do that, they have the potential to be one of the best teams in the NFL.
