Germany Unveils its First Christmas Tree

The city of Dortmund, Germany, has unveiled its first Christmas tree of the season, marking the official start of the holiday season in the country. The 45-foot-tall Norway Spruce was felled in the nearby town of Meschede and transported to Dortmund, where it was erected in the city's central square.

The tree is decorated with over 50,000 LED lights and 10,000 ornaments, and will be officially illuminated on November 17th. The tree will remain on display until January 6th, 2025.
