VfB Stuttgart: Individual criticism of the stars: eight times 5, three times 3!
Horror performance in Bochum: VfB stars tumble to the bottom
The shocking 4-1 defeat at VfL Bochum on Sunday means that VfB Stuttgart have fallen to the bottom of the Bundesliga. After a weak first half, the Swabians collapsed completely after the break and suffered a deserved defeat.
The individual performances of the VfB stars were particularly disappointing. Almost the entire team deserved the grade 5. Only three players received a grade of 3.
The next home game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday is now a crucial match for VfB Stuttgart. If they do not win this game, the Swabians will have a hard time staying in the league.
Individual critique
Florian Müller (5):
Had no chance with the goals, but otherwise not very convincing. Often unsure in his actions and with a weak pass rate.
Pascal Stenzel (5):
Was overwhelmed defensively and offensively harmless.
Hiroki Ito (5):
Was not up to par in the duels and hardly brought in any offensive accents.
Waldemar Anton (5):
Made a few mistakes in the build-up play and was not always consistent in the duels.
Borna Sosa (5):
Was often caught out of position defensively and was not dangerous enough offensively.
Wataru Endo (5):
Was not able to assert himself in midfield and made too many mistakes in passing.
Nikolas Nartey (5):
Was not able to provide any impulses in midfield and was often invisible.
Chris Führich (5):
Was not able to create any danger and was often dispossessed.
Silas Katompa Mvumpa (3):
Was the only Stuttgart player who showed some willingness to take risks. Prepared the 1-1 draw.
Tiago Tomas (3):
Scored the equalizer, but was otherwise harmless.
Juan José Perea (3):
Was able to set some accents after coming on as a substitute and prepared the big chance for Führich.
