Willie the Wildcat, the mascot for Northwestern University, provided some unexpected halftime entertainment during the Wildcats' football game against Duke on Saturday.

In the third quarter, a wild rabbit ran onto the field and began hopping around. Willie, a black and white cat, gave chase, much to the delight of the crowd.

The rabbit led Willie on a merry chase across the field, dodging and weaving through the players. Eventually, Willie caught up to the rabbit and pounced on it. The crowd roared with laughter and applause.

Willie's antics provided a much-needed break from the intense game. The Wildcats went on to win the game 31-23.

Willie the Wildcat is a popular figure on the Northwestern campus. He is known for his playful personality and his love of chasing rabbits.

The rabbit chase was just the latest in a long line of memorable moments for Willie. In 2016, he was caught on camera dancing with a cheerleader. In 2017, he was featured in a Sports Illustrated article about his love of belly rubs.
